Indo-Israel Relations: The Deepening of Defense and Strategic Cooperation

The purpose of this study is to analyse the evolution of defence ties between India and Israel and to explore the most significant areas of collaboration, including counter-terrorism, information sharing, and military training. India and Israel have resumed diplomatic and military ties after more than four decades of estrangement since the declaration of their independence. They collaborated in the fields of space research, missile development, intelligence sharing, and telecommunications and internet infrastructure development. In 1992, New Delhi and Tel Aviv established full diplomatic relations, leading to increased security cooperation, especially in the wake of the Kargil war. India and Israel's defence and security relationship has grown significantly since the establishment of formal diplomatic ties in 1992. This research paper aims to examine the evolution of India and Israel's defence and security relations, including the factors that have influenced their relationship over time. It will also examine the current state of their defence and security cooperation and the challenges and opportunities for future cooperation.
